The first step is the hardest. Attend your first class and get the journey started, regardless of your skill level or experience.

Adults classes -- Classes are open to all adults, without restriction based on experience or skill level. More mature teens may be invited to join the adults class to get additional time on the mats and prepare for transition out of the youth program.

Youth classes -- Our youth program is currently for 5-13 year olds. Our youth classes are age-appropriate and provide instruction to learn jiu jitsu skills in a fun, exciting class setting.

Maju Bela Diri -- This unique martial art is a blend of Chinese, Indonesian, and Filipino ancient martial arts, using a combination of sticks, swords, knives, and empty hand combative techniques. The program is independent from our jiu jitsu classes and is open to ages 10 and up. Classes will typically include escrima sticks as well as open hand techniques.

"For the whole family! Leake Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers woman and kids classes! The are professional and very clean! We absolutely love it here!"  Heather C.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Jiu Jitsu -- Classes are held with students wearing the gi uniform unless identified as a no gi class. Classes will include sport, tournament-ready techniques as well as self-defense techniques. We want students to be well rounded in their knowledge whether they choose to participate competitively at planned events, if they want to be well rounded when rolling with peers, or want self-defense knowledge for everyday life.

No Gi Jiu Jitsu -- Classes are held with students wearing regular sporting attire such as shorts/spats and compression shirt/rashguard. Similar to the traditional jiu jitsu classes, content will include sport, tournament-ready techniques as well as self-defense techniques that can be used in everyday life.

Basic striking -- Classes are an intense cardio workout based on the principles of basic boxing striking techniques, defense and footwork, as well as basic Muay Thai.

Open Mat -- Students from all affiliations are invited to stop in to roll. There will not be formal instruction during the open mat. This is a great opportunity to encounter athletes from other local schools and get experience rolling outside the class setting.

Maju Bela Diri -- Classes will typically include escrima sticks as well as open hand techniques, where students learn combination of martial arts that include Kali, Silat, and other ancient martial arts.

“This school is a miracle for people learning jiu-jitsu or getting back into it or even traveling through. Nothing but positive energy in this building and I highly recommend checking it out. This is my jiu-jitsu home to learn my skill as I value my 2 hour travel to come enjoy a amazing instructor Mike running the school and the beautiful people learning Jiu-jitsu in it..5*****.  John H.
