All programs are designed for students to begin at any time, regardless of skill level or experience.
Adults classes -- Classes are open to all adults, without restriction based on experience or skill level. More mature teens may be invited to join the adults class to get additional time on the mats and prepare for transition out of the youth program.
Youth classes -- During the school year when classes are at peak size, youth classes are divided by age group: 5-8 years old and 9-14 years old. We ask you to respect the age groups to help protect smaller kiddos. Separate classes also gives our instructors the ability to provide more attention where students need it. Our youth classes are age-appropriate and provide instruction to learn jiu jitsu skills in a fun, exciting class setting.
Jiu Jitsu -- Classes are held with students wearing the gi uniform unless identified as a no gi class. Every class includes both self-defense and tournament jiu jitsu techniques. Classes will include sport, tournament-ready techniques wearing the gi uniform as well as self-defense techniques. We want students to be well rounded in their knowledge whether they choose to participate competitively at planned events, if they want to be well rounded when rolling with peers, or want self-defense knowledge for everyday life.
No Gi Jiu Jitsu -- Classes where jiu jitsu is taught and no specific uniform is needed. Classes are held with students wearing regular sporting attire such as shorts/spats and compression shirt/t-shirt. Similar to the traditional jiu jitsu classes, content will include sport, tournament-ready techniques as well as self-defense techniques that can be used in everyday life.
Basic striking -- Classes are an intense cardio workout based on the principles of basic boxing striking techniques, defense and footwork, as well as basic Muay Thai.
Open Mat -- Students from all affiliations are invited to stop in to roll without any formal instruction. This is a great opportunity to encounter athletes from other local schools and get experience rolling outside the class setting.
Thanks! We are excited to connect as you explore the next step in your jiu jitsu journey!
